{"id":15875,"date":"2020-04-03T10:52:15","date_gmt":"2020-04-03T07:52:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lassebacklund.fi\/?page_id=15875"},"modified":"2025-06-18T23:36:37","modified_gmt":"2025-06-18T20:36:37","slug":"wilhelm-von-schwerins-berattelser-och-brev","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.lassebacklund.fi\/?page_id=15875","title":{"rendered":"Wilhelm von Schwerin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Wilhelm f\u00f6ddes den 2 december 1792 p\u00e5 moderns gods i S\u00f6dert\u00f6rn, som ligger n\u00e4ra Stockholm. \u00c5r 1806 d\u00e5 han var 14 \u00e5r inskrevs han som kadett i milit\u00e4rh\u00f6gskolan p\u00e5 Karlbergs slott i Solna. \u00c5r 1808 br\u00f6t det finska kriget ut och han besl\u00f6t d\u00e5 att resa till Finland. Han blev d\u00e4rf\u00f6r befordrad till underl\u00f6jtnant vid Svea artilleri och han kom d\u00e5 till general von Vegesacks avdelning. Den 27 augusti 1808 landsteg von Vegesack med 2&nbsp;500 man i Kristinestad och med i truppen fanns den unga Wilhelm von Schwerin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Den 6 september deltog han i striderna vid \u00d6mossa \u00e5bro och redan den 14 september var han med i de blodiga striderna i Oravais. D\u00e4r s\u00e5rades han flera g\u00e5nger men kunde dra vidare med den svenska arm\u00e9n till Kalajoki. Skadorna var dock s\u00e5 sv\u00e5ra att han avled den 27 september och d\u00e4r ligger han begravd. Hans krigarbana i Finland blev precis en m\u00e5nad l\u00e5ng, men tack vare de brev som skrevs till hemmet i Sala s\u00e5 har han g\u00e5tt till historien som en stor krigare trots sina 15 \u00e5r. Nationalskalden Runebergs dikt om honom i F\u00e4nrik St\u00e5ls s\u00e4gner har ocks\u00e5 gjort honom od\u00f6dlig och hans minne lever kvar, \u00e5tminstone i \u00d6mossa. Skjutavst\u00e5ndet var kort men vanligtvis var fienden inom synh\u00e5ll den tiden och dessa druvhagel var ett effektivt vapen mot anstormande fiender.
